Food Pantry
Our food pantry is open to anyone and everyone that needs food. We receive food from donations, both monetary and actual food. We also have our community garden that provides fresh vegetables.

Laundry Love
We offer free laundry services to people that need it. In our office we have two washers and dryers, as well as laundry detergent. Anyone that would like to use this service simply needs to call the office and schedule a time and day.

Utility and Rent Payment Program
We offer financial assistance to people who are struggling to keep on their utilities turned on. We ask that we be notified before utilities are turned off, and that we be paid back either financially or through volunteering. To receive assistance please call our office. We offer rent assistance as funds are available.

Classes and Groups
We offer a variety of classes that are taught by skilled volunteers. These classes are entirely free and open to anyone. We offer on-going classes for cooking for children and adults.
Georgia teaches “Bridges Out of Poverty” class to educate the community regarding the hidden rules associated with poverty, middle-class and wealth. Please check our calendar for dates and times.
We also have support groups forming. Reflections - a Grief Support Group held on Monday evenings from 5:30 - 7:00 is on-going and offers support for people going through losses.

Assistance with applying for support and addressing taxes
We offer assistance in making on-line applications for all Kansas Department of Children and Families programs including food, cash and medical assistance as well as LIEAP, their energy assistance program. We assist with applications for replacement Social Security cards and birth certificates. For those with limited income help is available for filing taxes and for Kansas Homestead refunds.

We support people in finding employment utilizing internet programs to identify interests in different types of jobs, searching the internet for jobs in the area, writing resume’s, and applying for jobs.
We aid people in obtaining clothing for interviews and provide mock interviews to prepare the person.
We provide a global view of the person’s budget and how much income a person might need to address that budget.

RESTORING COMMUNITY . . .
The Drop-In Center is a place to stop in and restore connections with other in the community . . . meet a friend, have a cup of coffee, play a board game or just talk. Stop in and see us.
This Center is dedicated to healing the loneliness and isolation within our community.
